1. An image forming apparatus, comprising:
an image forming section having a cartridge detachably mounted thereto, the cartridge holding a color erasable material which is erasable by heating to a color erasing temperature, and to form an image with the color erasable material, wherein the cartridge includes:
a housing configured to hold the color erasable material,a temperature sensing unit configured to detect a temperature of the housing, anda recording section configured to:
record the temperature detected by the temperature sensing unit if there is no previously recorded temperature,record the detected temperature over a previously recorded temperature if the detected temperature is greater than the previously recorded temperature, andnot record the temperature detected by the temperature sensing unit if the detected temperature is less than a previously recorded temperature; a control section configured to receive a maximum stored temperature of the cartridge and determine the quality of the cartridge by comparing the received maximum stored temperature to the color erasing temperature; and a display unit configured to display the result of the quality of the cartridge determined by the control section.
