Modulating the function, growth or differentiation of a cell comprises increasing or reducing expression of micro RNA molecule miR-92 in the cell. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a pharmaceutical composition comprising an agent for increasing or reducing miR-92 expression or activity; (2) a molecule comprising 15-22 bases that hybridizes with one of SEQ ID NO:1 to SEQ ID NO:5 (not given in the specification).
