The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technology with which a desired portion can easily and quickly be erased from an image in which the morphology of a cell is captured and the distribution of a region occupied by a specific site in the cell is shown. To achieve this purpose, this image processing device is provided with an acquisition unit, a display control unit, a designation unit, and a correction unit. The acquisition unit acquires a cellular distribution image in which the distribution of a cellular region occupied by a specific site in a cell is shown as a cellular display element in a cellular morphology image in which the morphology of the cell is captured. The display control unit displays the cellular distribution image on a display unit. In accordance with a signal inputted by a user, the designation unit adds a curve for designating a portion to be erased in the cellular distribution image displayed on the display unit. If the cellular display element is divided into a plurality of portions by a non-closed curve segment, where a closed curve segment of the curve is not formed, the correction unit erases a portion remaining among the plurality of portions, except for the largest portion, which has the largest area. |
