The present invention provides a Pvr4 gene having resistance to potyvirus and a use thereof. The present invention can contribute to the breeding of potyvirus-resistant chili peppers by using a molecular marker using a Pvr4 gene sequence. In addition, the present invention can transform potatoes or tomatoes, as heterogeneous crops, showing, economically, an enormous reduction in production due to potyvirus, and an increased crop yield and an economical effect can be expected through such a transformation. |
