PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate comprising layers of a polarizing film and a protective film, having good handling property and capable of suppressing decrease in contrast.SOLUTION: The polarizing plate comprises a first inner protective film 23, a first polarizing film 21 and a first outer protective film 25 made of a transparent resin, layered in this order. The first inner protective film 23 comprises an acrylic resin composition prepared by compounding particles of a rubber elastic material having a number average particle diameter of 10 to 300 nm by 25 to 45 wt.% into a transparent acrylic resin, and exhibits an internal haze of 0.5% or less and an external haze of 5% or less, and an in-plane retardation value (R) of 10 nm or less at a wavelength of 590 nm, and an absolute retardation value (R) in a thickness direction of 10 nm or less at a wavelength of 590 nm. |
