摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide relatively-large discharge energy to one discharge point in an electric discharge machining device using an electrostatic induction supply method.SOLUTION: A power source 1 applies an alternating current supply voltage between a power supply electrode 2 and a workpiece 10 to be machined by electric discharge using a tool electrode 3. The power supply electrode 2 and the tool electrode 3 are electrically insulated, and power supply capacitance is formed therebetween. The tool electrode 3 is arranged to face the workpiece 10, and the workpiece 10 can be machined by the electric discharge therebetween. The frequency of the power supply voltage supplied from the power source 1 is high enough to maintain a plasma state generated by the electric discharge between the tool electrode 3 and the workpiece 10.
