PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft wind turbine capable of restraining noise and vibration of the wind turbine while improving the starting performance of the vertical shaft wind turbine and maintaining the efficiency in high speed rotation at a high value.SOLUTION: A vane of a vertical shaft wind turbine has a vertical section of a curved shape with the vicinity of the vertical shaft as its starting point increasing monotonously in the shaft direction as it separates from the vertical shaft in the radial direction to have the maximum value in the shaft direction, then reducing to have the inclination of the curve as negative infinity at a point to have the radial direction distance from the shaft maximum, then having the inclination of the curve changed to the positive side for reducing the radial direction distance from the shaft monotonously to reach at a point to have the distance in the shaft direction minimum to have the inclination of the curve changed to the negative side for monotonously reducing the radial direction distance from the shaft to reach to the vicinity of the starting point of the curve or at the starting point. |
