PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a half-split thrust bearing with excellent oil retainability.SOLUTION: A half-split thrust bearing 1 comprises a metallic back metal 2, a lining layer 4 covering an end surface 2A of the back metal 2 and a resin coating layer 6 covering this lining layer 4. In addition, the half-split thrust bearing 1 has thrust reliefs 5, 5 at both end locations in a peripheral direction of an end surface 2A acting as a sliding surface 3. Inner peripheral edge and outer peripheral edge at the resin coating layer 6 are bulged out in the same height over an entire peripheral area and thus, an outer peripheral bulged-out part 6A and an inner peripheral bulged-out part 6B are formed. In the case where a location C near the thrust relief 5 at the sliding surface 3 is locally point contacted with a thrust surface 11A of a mating member, the outer peripheral bulged-out part 6A is resiliently deformed and acts as a familiarity margin. Due to this fact, it is possible to prevent the location C and the lining layer 4 near the location C from being damaged. |
