Storing an IMDN message in a CMS that comprises a non-volatile file system and a cache may include identifying a difference between an IMDN message and a base record, the base record being stored in the cache of the CMS. Storing the IMDN message may further include storing a variance record in the cache of the CMS, the variance record comprising the difference between the IMDN message and the base record, and a reference to the base record. Storing the IMDN message may include discarding the IMDN message, and in response to receiving a request for the IMDN message, reconstructing the IMDN message from the base and variance records stored in the cache without reading from the non-volatile file system. Responding to the request for the IMDN message may include responding with the reconstructed IMDN message.
