PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ticket examination machine capable of increasing the number of collected tickets to be stored without increasing the size, and easily searching for the collected tickets, and a ticket collection processing method for the ticket examination machine.SOLUTION: The ticket examination machine includes: a conveyance mechanism for conveying a ticket medium along a conveyance path; a processor for reading information from the ticket medium; a first distribution mechanism for distributing the ticket medium determined by the processor to be a collected ticket; a plurality of temporary holding boxes 82a, 82b supported to be independently drawable for storing the collected tickets; a second distribution mechanism for distributing the ticket medium to any of the temporary holding boxes; a loading detection sensor for detecting the drawing and loading of each temporary holding box; storage detection sensors 110a, 110b for detecting the ticket medium storage state of each temporary holding box; a ticket collection box 83 disposed under the plurality of temporary holding boxes for accumulating the ticket media dropped from the temporary holding boxes; and a control section for, when the temporary holding box is drawn and reloaded, selecting the temporary holding box for next storage of the ticket medium in accordance with the detected ticket medium storage state of each temporary holding box.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
