PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that charged ink mist is attached on a sensor, and accuracy of detecting existence of a paper and a width of the paper by the sensor is reduced.SOLUTION: A liquid jet apparatus includes: a light emitting part 91 which emits light from a light emitting element 91c through a light emitting part lens 91b as a first transparent member; a light receiving part 92 which receives light by a light receiving element 92c through a light receiving part lens 92b as a second transparent member; a paper end part detection part 90 which receives reflected light of light emitted from the light emitting part 91 by the light receiving part 92; and a cover part 93 which surrounds the paper end part detection part 90. The light emitting part lens 91b and the light receiving part lens 92b are formed of material ranked on a positive side as the same polarity as polarity of mist in triboelectric series. The cover part 93 is formed of material ranked on a negative side as opposite polarity to the polarity of the mist in the triboelectric series. |
