PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge reinforcement method capable of efficiently reinforcing an old bridge exceeding a service life by using a precast box culvert, which is more efficiently than a concrete forming at site.SOLUTION: The bridge reinforcement method includes the steps of: placing a precast box culvert which has a bottom slab, a pair of side slabs uprising from the bottom slab, and a top slab bridged across the side slabs so that the opening of the bridge is oriented to a river flow; and filling a filler for transmitting a load, which is applied to the bridge between the top slab of the precast box culvert and the bridge, to the box culvert.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
