PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional roll with a structure to continuously maintain, by a roll body, functions of absorbing and removing a solution or the like of a processed product and of supplying and providing a fluid to the processed product.SOLUTION: A high density sheet material block 2 is formed by laminating a plurality of doughnut-shaped elastic nonwoven fabric sheet materials. A doughnut-shaped crude-density elastic nonwoven fabric sheet material 3 having a roll hole 301 is interposed between the high density sheet material blocks 2. A roll body is constituted by laminating the plurality of high density sheet material blocks on a tubular roll shaft 1 having a number of pores 102. The roll body has a plurality of gas-liquid passages 201, 302B in an inner circumferential face contacting with the roll shaft 1. The high density sheet material block 2 laminated in an axial direction has rigidity which is the highest in the center portion in the axial direction and becomes lower toward an end portion in the axial direction. |
