This controller, which controls the power supply from a battery (14) to a load via a power converter, has a power conversion control unit that stops the power converter when it has been determined that the power converter should be stopped on the basis of a physical quantity, and when the converter is stopped, indicates, on a display unit, that the converter may be resumed when it has been determined that the converter may be resumed on the basis of a physical quantity. A power supply control unit detects that a commercial power source (24) is either in an energized state or a power outage state, and when the power supply control unit has detected that the commercial power source (24) has transitioned from an energized state to a power outage state, the power supply control unit switches the power supply from the battery (14) and/or the commercial power source (24) to a load, to the power supply from the battery (14) to the load. After the power conversion control unit has indicated, on the display unit, that the power converter may be resumed, the power conversion control unit resumes the power converter when an instruction to resume the supply of power has been obtained from a user. |
