PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hot rolling equipment and a hot rolling method whereby freedom of combination of a lifting material and passing materials is increased thereby making it possible to enhance applicability of pass-rolling.SOLUTION: A retainer 2 is disposed on an upstream of a hot rolling mill 3 of a reversible type, lifting materials are selected, and passing materials are properly allocated and assembled with the lifting materials, whereby pass-rolling can be adequately performed by use of the retainer 2. |
