A device for use in fitting a sill or cill to an opening in a cavity wall. The device comprises an elongated baseplate 10 having opposite longitudinal front and rear edges 12 14 and a width sufficient to span two leaves of a cavity wall. A transverse wall 20 22 is located at each end of the base plate, and spaced longitudinal walls 24 26 extend along the rear of the baseplate between the transverse end walls. The baseplate and walls define an open-fronted tray 28 at the front of the baseplate for receiving a sill and a container 30 extends substantially along the length of the baseplate behind the tray for receiving a concrete filling. At least the portions of the baseplate and walls defining the tray are made of a water-impermeable material. A layer of insulating material 36 may be located on the inside surface of the wall 24 separating the tray 28 from the container 30. |
