[Class 3 (ii)] A self-cleaning road surface reflector comprises a revoluble reflector f carried by a casing g embedded in a rubber block b dove-tailed to a cement base a. The reflector f is spherical, oval, cylindrical, or any other shape which will permit it to turn about its own axis under the frictional impact of traffic wheels. A rubber ring j exerts a cleansing effect on the reflector, and this may be supplemented by a rubber lining inside the casing, the rim of which is upset at i to retain the reflector. A mirror h increases the effect when the reflecfor f is of glass, and a bolt k anchors the device in the block b.</p> |
