The present invention relates to demultiplexing methods and devices. A method is disclosed for demultiplexing a signal (rtot(t)). The method comprises receiving the signal (rtot(t)) being a sum of at least two sub-signals (r1(t), r2(t),…), whereby each sub-signal comprises a different repetitive pattern. The method also comprises sampling the signal (rtot(t)) during a time period (Tobs), whereby the time period (Tobs) is such that the different repetitive patterns of each subsignal occur at least once and whereby at least (s-1) sub-signals are periodic during Tobs with a different specific frequency fs = s.(1/Tobs), whereby s is an integer ≥ 1. The method further comprises periodically expanding the signal (rtot(t)) in a Fourier series and obtaining the different complex spectral components of the periodically expanded signal (rPot(t)). |
