In the present invention, a main controller is provided with: a d-axis current limiter that calculates a post-limitation d-axis current instruction value by calculating a d-axis current limit value with priority on the basis of a dq conversion current limit value and clipping a d-axis current instruction value to be equal to or less than the d-axis current limit value; a q-axis current limiter that calculates a post-limitation q-axis current instruction value by calculating a q-axis current limit value on the basis of the dq conversion current limit value and the post-limitation d-axis current instruction value and clipping a q-axis current instruction value to be equal to or less than the q-axis current limit value; and an inverter controller that controls motor current on the basis of the post-limitation d-axis current instruction value and the post-limitation q-axis current instruction value.
