PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold closing device of an injection machine, capable of preventing damage to a mold thickness adjusting motor or a mold thickness adjusting mechanism by a mold closing motor operating for absorbing overload, even when the mold thickness adjusting mechanism is moved forward with the mold thickness adjusting motor manually driven by an operator.SOLUTION: When a link mechanism is extended, the mold closing motor retreats by a prescribed distance (in other words, the link mechanism is contracted), and the torque of the mold closing motor is adjusted to a preset torque (low torque) (SA01 to SA03). The mold thickness adjusting motor is moved forward and determination is made whether the limit of the motor forward movement of the mold thickness adjusting motor is reached or not. In the case of NO, determination is made whether the mold closing motor is in retreating operation or not. In the case of YES, the command position of the mold closing motor is shifted by the distance of retreating operation of the mold closing motor (SA04 to SA07). Determination is made whether the position of the mold closing motor is equal to or beyond the preset position or not. In the case of YES, the forward movement of the mold thickness adjusting motor is stopped, and the torque of the mold closing motor is returned to the original value (SA08 to SA10). |
