The system has an analysis server (5) accessing a database (4), and comparing (VG) determined individual travel routes (FR) with determined individual movement routes. The server links (V) a concerned vehicle ID (F-ID) with terminal IDs (T-ID1 to T-ID3) belonging to the individual movement routes, in case of sufficient correspondence of one of the individual travel routes with one of the individual movement routes over a time interval. The server stores (SV4) the vehicle ID in the database together with personal data (PD) of users (1a-1c) associated with the terminal IDs. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a system for determining a number and an identity of users in a vehicle. |
