PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of sufficiently preventing a spacer from coming into contact with the pixel part of an opposite substrate and rubbing an alignment film even when a liquid crystal panel is bent, and sufficiently preventing the occurrence of light leakage in accordance with this.SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device including a first substrate 102; a second substrate 101; a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between both the substrates; and a spacer holding a gap between the first substrate 102 and the second substrate 101, the spacer is constituted by laminating a first spacer 14 and a second spacer 15, and the first substrate 102 has the first spacer 14, and the second substrate 101 has the second spacer 15, and the first spacer 14 and the second spacer 15 are respectively constituted so as to be long and thin when the substrate main surfaces are viewed in a plane. In the liquid crystal display device, the first substrate 102 and the second substrate 101 are adhered to each other such that the first spacer 14 and the second spacer 15 cross each other. |
