The purpose of the present invention is to provide an endoscopy system which feels good to use as a result of appropriately switching between the display format of endoscope images. This endoscopy system comprises: an insertion part 4 which is inserted into the body of a subject; a first subject image acquisition unit 12 which is provided to the insertion part and which acquires an image from a front region including the area in front of the insertion part; a second subject image acquisition unit 13 which is provided to the insertion part and which obtains a second subject image from a side region which at least partially differs from the front region and which includes the radial direction of the insertion part; an image generating unit 32g which generates a side image on the basis of a second subject image and a front image on the basis of a first subject image; and an image processing unit 32a which performs a process of image conversion in which two modes are selectively switched between - a first mode in which the part of a side image which includes a part on both sides of a front image positioned touching one another on the periphery of the front image, and a second mode in which the part of the side image including both sides of the front image positioned alongside the front image with a gap therebetween. |
