In a vehicle (10) with a tailgate, a rear opening (30) is formed in a rear surface of a vehicle body (25), a tailgate (40) that is provided to open and close the rear opening (30), a sub-door opening (50) that is formed in a portion of the tailgate (40) in a width direction, and a sub-door (60) that is provided to open and close the sub-door opening (50). The vehicle (10) includes a tailgate latch device (41) that locks the tailgate (40) with the vehicle body (25), a sub-door latch device (61) that locks the sub-door (60) with the vehicle body (25), and a control unit (100) that controls the tailgate latch device (41) and the sub-door latch device (61). The control unit (100) controls the sub-door latch device (61) so as to prohibit the sub-door (60) from being opened when determining that the tailgate (40) is opened. |
