PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can improve color reproducibility in color mixing and prevents generation of discrepancy in glossiness depending on colors.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a developing unit 26 for developing electrostatic latent images formed on photoreceptor drums 22 corresponding to the respective colors by using toners of a plurality of colors, a secondary transfer roller 50, and a fixing unit 60. The toners give equal glossiness characteristics for the respective colors when toner images with the same toner deposition amount are fixed on a recording medium. The developing unit 26 develops images in such a manner that the maximum toner deposition amount of a color to be in a lower layer on the recording medium is equal to or larger than the maximum toner deposition amount of a color to be in an upper layer. The fixing unit 60 fixes images under such conditions that when a toner image formed with the maximum toner deposition amount is fixed to the recording medium, a hiding ratio of the toner on the recording medium is 95% or more. |
