POLYMER COMPOSITIONS BASED ON A BIO-SOURCED POLYARYLENE ETHER SULFONE

A polymer composition comprising:
(a) a polyether sulfone (PES-1) that contains at least one recurring unit (R a ) having formula (R a -1):
(b) a polyarylene ether sulfone (PAES-1) that comprises recurring units deriving from the incorporation of at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol [herein after diol (AA)] selected from the group consisting of isosorbide (1), isomannide (2) and isoidide (3):
(PES-1) and (PAES-1) are completely miscible and allows obtaining transparent compositions (C), which also possess high strength and stiffness and are suitable for the manufacture of a variety of shaped articles.
