PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and stably produce a polycarbonate resin excellent in optical characteristics, thermal stability, haze and mechanical strength with fewer foreign substances.SOLUTION: The method for producing a polycarbonate resin expressed by general formula (1) satisfies formula (2):12,000≤W/S≤60,000 under the conditions of a heater temperature of an extruder set to 100°C or higher and lower than 250°C, a resin weight of W (kg/h) extruded per one hour and a barrel cross-sectional area of S (m). In general formula (1), Rto Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; X represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkylene group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; and m and n each independently represent an integer of 0 to 5. |
