A loader 203 is provided to a computing device 200 that comprises a web browser 205. The loader provides a wrapper 206 to the web browser for execution by the web browser, the wrapper being a closure: a block of computer code that closes over all of its inputs to define a function with no free variables or arguments. The loader establishes a secure, two-way communication path between itself and the wrapper. The wrapper establishes an IFrame 208 (inline frame) within the web browser comprising a URL (Universal Resource Locator) pointing to a kernel 210. A firewall 209 is established around the IFrame and a secure, two-way communication path is established between the wrapper and the kernel. In a method of securely reporting events, event reporter 212 is provided to the IFrame through the loader, wrapper and kernel using the secure communication paths and the event reporter is run in the IFrame. The invention finds typical use in the proper placement of advertising media, e.g. advert 211, and in addressing malicious or corrupt reporting of events to generate fraudulent payments. |
