The device e.g. multi-nozzle straightening burner (100), has two nozzles (10, 20) arranged below a non-vanishing angle (W) to each other and divergingly arranged in direction of flow. The nozzles are arranged at a gas distribution pipe (34) that is formed in a cross beam shape. The gas distribution pipe is assigned to a retainer (30), and the retainer is attachable on a surface (S) of a component or workpiece (B) and/or is movable on the surface of the component or workpiece. An independent claim is also included for a method for flame-straightening.
