PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to attach a paper feed cassette to an image formation apparatus even if a retracting member moves from a position at which the retracting member is engageable with the paper feed cassette.SOLUTION: A sheet storage device includes: a storage member storing a sheet and attachable/detachable to/from a device main body; an engagement member engageable with the storage member attached to the device main body; and urging means for urging the engagement member, and retracts the storage member into the device main body by moving the engagement member engaged with the storage member by means of an urging force of the urging means. The engagement member includes a plurality of engagement units engageable with the storage member. The engagement units can be moved to engagement positions at which the engagement units are engageable with the storage member attached to the device main body by moving the engagement member. If the storage member moves in a direction of being retracted into the device main body in a state in which one of the engagement units is not engaged with the storage member, then the engagement member is moved by the urging force, and the other engagement units of the plural engagement units reach the respective engagement positions. |
