PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy management device capable of evaluating the energy consumption behavior of the resident of a particular dwelling unit with a suitable criterion for evaluation.SOLUTION: An energy management device D having an information display unit 15 capable of displaying information on the energy consumption behavior of the resident of a particular dwelling unit 10 includes: a behavior detection unit 11 for detecting the energy consumption behavior of a resident; a behavior verification unit 13 for verifying the energy consumption behavior detected by the behavior detection unit 11 on the basis of a prescribed verification reference; a reference determination unit 12 for determining the verification reference on the basis of at least one of a life environment for the resident of the particular dwelling unit 10 and the energy consumption behavior by the resident of the other dwelling unit 10; and a display information determination unit 14 for determining display information reflecting verification results by the behavior verification unit 13.
