PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress extension of a time required for a fixing temperature of a fixing part 700 to approach a predetermined temperature, and suppress a variation (ripple) in fixing temperature after the fixing temperature has approached the predetermined temperature.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a heater; a fixing part including a switching part that switches between an energization state and a non-energization state of the heater and a temperature sensor; a control part; and a memory that stores association information associating a plurality of values of duty ratios and a plurality of temperature areas with each other, where as the values of the duty ratios are smaller, the values are associated with higher temperature areas of the plurality of temperature areas. The control part acquires detected temperature on the basis of a signal from the temperature sensor, and controls the switching part with the value of a duty ratio corresponding to a temperature area including the detected temperature on the basis of the association information; of the plurality of temperature areas in the association information, a first temperature area is larger than a second temperature area including a temperature lower than that of the first temperature area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
