The invention relates to a label (10) for identification of an object, said label (10) comprising a layer composite (1) which can be inscribed and in which a first visible inscription can be made for identification of an object, an adhesive film (3) by which the label (10) can be adhered to an object, and an active compound (4) which, when brought into contact with a surface of the object, penetrates into the surface of the object and/or acts on the surface of the object. The active substance (4) is arranged on the rear face (10a) of the label (10) on or in the adhesive film (3) or below the adhesive film (3), wherein the label (10) has a structured active substance layer (24) in which the active substance (4) is arranged. The structured active substance layer (24) comprises a part-surface region (8) or a plurality of part-surface regions (8) of the base surface of the label (10), wherein the label (10) is designed such that, when the event label (10) is adhered to the surface of an object, the active substance (4) on the rear face of the label (10) comes selectively into contact with the surface of the object in the region of the structured substance layer (24). Within the base surface of the label the configuration and/or contour of the structured active substance layer (24) is in the form of a further, initially invisible inscription, identification or item of information. |
