PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink having a high ink jetting stability and yielding an image having a high marker resistance.SOLUTION: The provided ink is used for an inkjet recording method for recording, onto a recording medium, an image by jetting thereon the ink from a recording head based on the exertion of heat energy. The ink includes a self-dispersible organic pigment and a polyurethane resin and has the following characteristics: the surface charge level of the self-dispersible organic pigment is 0.5 μmol/mor above and 1.5 μmol/mor below; the polyurethane resin possesses a unit derived from a polyisocyanate, a unit derived from a polyether polyol having no acid radicals, and a unit derived from a diol having acid radicals; the acid value of the polyurethane resin is 40 mgKOH/g or above and 140 mgKOH/g or below. |
