The present invention relates, according to some embodiments, to methods and kits for identifying susceptibility to osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ), including, antiresorptive-agent-induced jaw osteonecrosis (ARONJ), in a subject in need thereof. The present invention further relates to method and kits for preventing the development of ONJ, inhibiting the progression of ONJ, or reducing the risk to develop ONJ in subjects in need thereof.
