PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill separation device which does not easily cause abnormality such as multi feed or skew in conveyance of bills, and is capable of performing a bill conveyance operation stably over a long period of time.SOLUTION: A bill separation device includes: a bill feed part for feeding bills from a bill feed port; a bill alignment part for aligning the bills fed to the bill feed part from the bill feed port; and a separation conveyance part for delivering the bills aligned in the alignment part. The bill alignment part includes an alignment roller having a rotating body and alignment plates arranged in an impeller shape on a peripheral surface of the rotating body, and aligns the bills by pressing the alignment plate to the edge of the bill by the rotation of the alignment roller. |
