A method for manufacturing a back sheet for solar battery module comprises: an elongated back sheet layer forming step; an elongated sheet defective portion detecting step; a step of marking a defect point on the defective portion (position accuracy ±X (mm)); a winding step; and a sheet cutting step (a predetermined length L (mm)) in that order. The sheet cutting step includes: detecting position information from the head of a back sheet and position information of a defect point mark; cutting the back sheet at a position which is L (mm) from the head in the absence of a defect point mark from the back sheet head to a position which is L + X (mm); in the presence of the defect point mark, cutting the back sheet at a position which is X (mm) from the position of the defect point mark in the opposite direction from the head, where X is not more than 300 (mm). The present invention enables early discovery of a defective portion in a product, process improvements, reduction of lead time, and minimization of the amount of waste film during the manufacture of a back sheet for the above purpose. |
