PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming unit capable of forming high quality images.SOLUTION: The image forming unit includes: an image carrier that has a photosensitive layer for carrying a latent image; a developer carrier that carries a developer and performs a series of development processing by using the developer on the latent image; and a developer supply member that has the surface which comes into contact with the developer carrier to supply the developer to the developer carrier. The developer supply member has an elastic layer formed with plural cavities each of which has an opening exposed to the surface. The occupancy of the opening area occupying the area of the surface is 40-85%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
