PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable that, while achieving an increase in density of optical fibers and a decrease in diameter of an optical cable, can suppress increase in transmission loss of the optical fibers when impact is applied.SOLUTION: An optical cable 1 includes: a slot core 10 that is provided with slots 12 on an outer peripheral part thereof; slot layer fiber groups 20 that are composed of multiple optical fibers 4 housed in each of the slots; and an outer layer fiber group 30 that is configured to dispose between the slot core 10 and a sheath 40 optical fiber ribbons 3 with the multiple optical fibers 4 arranged in parallel, in which coupling portions for coupling the adjacent optical fibers 4 are intermittently disposed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
