PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of accurately correcting temperature information on an optical fiber if the length of a reference fiber is reduced.SOLUTION: The present invention includes: a light source emitting a pulse light into an optical fiber; a light receiving system receiving a Raman scattered light generated in the optical fiber; a reference fiber between the light source and the optical fiber; a heater heating the reference fiber; a controller controlling the operations of the light source, the light receiving system, and the heater; and a mode scrambler between the light source and the reference fiber, attenuating a higher-order-mode light in the pulse light emitted from the light source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
