PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator capable of extending an ON-OFF cycle of a compressor.SOLUTION: A corrugated fin 16 arranged in all ventilation cavities 15 formed between adjacent refrigerant circulation tubes 13 of an evaporator includes: crest portions 16a extending in a ventilation direction; trough portions 16b extending in the ventilation direction; and coupling portions 16c coupling the crest portions 16a to the trough portions 16b, and surfaces of the corrugated fin 16 are subjected to a hydrophilic treatment. Louvers 18 are formed in the coupling portions 16c of the corrugated fin 16. Low hydrophilic parts 20 lower in hydrophilicity than the other parts and holding condensed water as a condensed water layer at a certain thickness are provided on the surface in a region R in a range from 50% to 80% of a fin height H with central portions of the coupling portions 16c and the louvers 18 in a fin height direction set as centers. A contact angle of the low hydrophilic parts 20 is set to 20 to 30 degrees and that of the high hydrophilic parts 21 other than the low hydrophilic parts 20 in the corrugated fin 16 is set to be equal to or smaller than 10 degrees. |
