PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device capable of certainly preventing the theft of a vehicle due to illegal unlocking, and improving assemblability.SOLUTION: A steering lock device 1 is equipped with a key cylinder 3, a lock bolt 4 capable of moving between a lock position and an unlock position, a generally cylindrical body 2 rotatably storing the key cylinder 3 on one end side, and a cap 14 for blocking one end side opening of a body 2. The steering lock device 1 is provided with a dead lock mechanism (a lock stopper 8 and a relay rod 9) displace between an engaging state which engages with the lock bolt 4 at the lock position to prevent the movement to the unlock position side of the lock bolt 4 and a disengaging state which does not engage with the lock bolt 4; and a trigger rod 10 engaged with a part (the relay rod 9) of the dead lock mechanism at one end, prevents the displacement from the disengaging state to the engaging state of the dead lock mechanism, and fixed or abutting on the cap 14 at the other end. |
