PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic light control system which enables an emergency vehicle to reach its destination as soon as possible.SOLUTION: Emergency vehicles 1 transmit their position information to a fire fighting center 3, respectively. The fire fighting center 3 generates emergency vehicle information about the plurality of emergency vehicles 1 on the basis of the pieces of received information, and also determines a dispatch destination of the emergency vehicle 1 on the basis of an emergency report, then transmits information about the emergency vehicle information and the dispatch destination to a telematics server 5. The telematics server 5 acquires position information and vehicle speed information from general vehicles 2 to determine traffic conditions of roads. On the basis of the received information from the fire fighting center 3, the telematics server 5 determines the emergency vehicle 1 to be dispatched and its travel route, and transmits the determined information to the fire fighting center 3 and a traffic light control device 7. The fire fighting center 3 transmits information about the dispatch destination, the travel route, etc. to the emergency vehicle 1 to be dispatched. The traffic light control device 7 performs switch control of lighting states of traffic lights 8 in order to prioritize the travel of the emergency vehicle 1. |
