PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water section member used in an indoor water section environment, which has high antifouling property and antifouling durability.SOLUTION: A water section member comprises: a base material 1; and an amorphous carbon layer 2 formed on the surface of the base material 1 and mainly containing carbon atoms. The amorphous carbon layer 2 further contains hydrogen atoms, and is configured to contain the hydrogen atoms by a predetermined amount or more and to have a density of a predetermined value or less, so that adherence of water scale thereon can be suppressed for a long time. In the water section member, the amorphous carbon layer 2 preferably contains the hydrogen atoms by the amount of 3-42 atm%, and more preferably, 21-35 atm%. Further, the amorphous carbon layer 2 preferably has the density of 1.1 g/cmor more, and more preferably, 1.4 g/cmor more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
