PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing vibration transmitted to a light-emitting element unit during a printing operation, compared to the case in which the light-emitting element unit is fixed and supported by a supporting section.SOLUTION: An LED print head 30 which acts as a light-emitting element unit is supported by a supporting section 22, and can be moved between a position (working position) which adjacently faces a photoreceptor drum 20a and a position (retreat position) which does not interfere with exchange of a process unit. The LED print head 30 is fixedly supported by the supporting section 22 at the retreat position with a fixing member 40. The fixation of the LED print head by the fixing member 40 is released accompanied by the movement of the LED print head 30 from the retreat position to the working position, and the LED print head 30 is supported by the supporting section 22 through a coil spring 48 at the working position. In this state, the coil spring 48 functions as vibration absorption means for preventing propagation of vibrations from the supporting section 22 to the LED print head 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
