<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ankle prosthesis capable of adjusting the length and the thickness of a stem inserted into an ankle bone appropriately to be optimal for a bone structure of a patient. <P>SOLUTION: An ankle prosthesis, comprising a tibia component mounted on a distal end of the tibia, an ankle bone component mounted on a proximal end of the ankle bone, and a polyethylene insert inserted between the tibia component and the ankle bone component, is so constituted that an ankle bone stem may be inserted in a protruding condition from the ankle bone to a calcaneus obliquely backward on the lower surface of the ankle bone component, and that the ankle prosthesis may comprise a base section where the ankle bone stem is inserted into the lower surface of the ankle bone insert in a protruding condition and a tail section which is intruded and fixed to the base section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
