An injection molding apparatus includes an inlet component suitable for receiving molding material from a source, a plurality of nozzles, and a manifold for conveying the molding material from the inlet component to the nozzles. Each nozzle having a nozzle channel for delivering the molding material through a mold gate and into a mold cavity, each of the plurality of nozzles includes a nozzle core that defines the nozzle channel and a cooling channel for flow of coolant to cool the molding material in the nozzle channel. The nozzles further comprises a nozzle housing having a nozzle core bore in which a respective nozzle core is disposed, and wherein the nozzle housing has coolant ports connected to the cooling channel of the nozzle core, and defines a molding material inlet connected to the nozzle channel.
