PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that dust stuck on an air filter is increased when a long time cooling or heating operation is carried out in a room containing a large amount of dust in air in an indoor unit of an air conditioner and cooling or heating operation is performed in a condition that the air filter is clogged and thereby, the air blowing efficiency of a fan is reduced to cause the performance deterioration in the air conditioner.SOLUTION: In an indoor unit of an air conditioner which includes an indoor heat exchanger, a fan for sucking air of a room and sending the air to an indoor heat exchanger and a dust removing means for removing dust collected in the air filter, a checking means for intercepting the air blast to the dust removing means is provided and the dust removal operation of the air filter is carried out while sending the air by the fan. |
