PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of insufficient image density and excessive image density caused by deviation of the correction amount of a control target value determined by target value correction processing from the proper amount due to changes in temperature and humidity.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit including a photoreceptor 3Y and a developing unit 7Y, and a control unit not illustrated performing target value correction processing to correct a control target value of a control parameter that affects developing performance of the image forming unit with the correction amount determined by a predetermined algorithm. The image forming apparatus further includes an image density sensor 90Y detecting image density of an image formed by the image forming unit; and the control unit is configured to perform correction processing to correct the algorithm on the basis of a detection result of image density by the image density detection sensor 90Y. |
