PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor control rod in which rear surfaces of welding portions among a tie rod and sheaths are easily inspected.SOLUTION: A handle 5 is welded to an upper end of a tie rod 2, and a lower support member 6 is welded to a lower end of the tie rod 2. Sheaths 4 having U-shaped cross sections are individually welded to the tie rod 2 in four directions, to the handle 5 and to the lower support member 6. A plurality of hafnium members 7A and 7B are disposed inside the sheaths 4. A tab 12A and a tab 12B formed at both end portions of each sheath 4 are disposed offset from each other in an axial direction of the tie rod 2. A tab 13A of the tie rod 2 opposite to each tab 12A is welded to each tab 12A, and a tab 13B of the tie rod 2 opposite to each tab 12B is welded to each tab 12B. A rear surface of each welding portion between the tab 12A and the tab 13A is opposite to each of openings 15A formed among the tie rod 2 and the sheaths 4, and a rear surface of each welding portion between the tab 12B and the tab 13B is opposite to each of openings 15 formed among the tie rod 2 and the sheaths 4. |
